Basic HTML Markup Structure of a Component

Post Content

A Component is a packaged element that forms the Content Structure of an HTML document.

Its basic HTML markup structure is:
<div class="comp">

<div class="comp_cr">

<h1 class="accessible-name">Component Name</h1>

<div class="comp_ct">
<p>Component Content</p>
</div><!– comp_ct –>

</div>

</div><!– comp –>
For a simpler structure, especially for single objects packaged as Components:
<div class="comp">
<div class="comp_cr">
<p>Component Content</p>
</div>
</div><!– comp –>
Generic Class Names

 • comp – Component
 • comp_cr – Component Container
 • comp-ct – Component Content
 • accessible-name – Component Name

Notes:

 • put comment tags at the end tags of .comp and .com_ct for legibility
